שכיב מרע שאמר תנו הלואתי לפלוני הלואתו לפלוני ואף על גב דליתיה בבריא רב פפא אמר הואיל ויורש יורשה

If a dying man said, 'Give my loan to X',<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' I.e. — the verbal loan which someone owes him shall he paid by that person to X. ');">¹</span> his loan is [immediately] acquired by X;<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Through the mere verbal instruction of the testator. Had he been in good health. he could not transfer in this way a verbal loan, which, since a person usually spends the money he borrows, is not In existence. ');">²</span> although a man in good health has no<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lit., 'it is not'. ');">³</span>
